1. Narcotic Assistant Cadre

The Narcotic Assistant Cadre is mainly for SSCE holders and artisans.

Available positions under the Narcotic Assistant Cadre are:

  1. Narcotic Assistant I – CONPASS 04
  2. Narcotic Assistant II – CONPASS 03
  3. Artisans / Drivers / Mechanics / Gardeners / Cleaners

2. Narcotic Agent Cadre

The Narcotic Agent Cadre is for OND, NCE, or related certificate holders.

Available positions under the Narcotic Agent Cadre are:

  1. Narcotic Agent (NA) – CONPASS 05
  2. Senior Narcotic Agent (SNA) – CONPASS 06
  3. Chief Narcotic Agent (CNA) – CONPASS 07

3. Superintendent Cadre

This Superintendent Cadre is mainly for officers with B.Sc or HND holders and professionals.

Available positions under the Superintendent Cadre are:

  1. Assistant Superintendent of Narcotics II (ASN II) – CONPASS 08
  2. Assistant Superintendent of Narcotics I (ASN I) – CONPASS 09
  3. Deputy Superintendent of Narcotics (DSN) – CONPASS 10

NDLEA Recruitment Requirements 2026

To be eligible to apply for the 2026-2027 NDLEA recruitment exercise, applicants must meet the general requirements for recruitment such as:

  1. Applicants must be a citizen of Nigeria
  2. Must be physically and medically fit
  3. Applicants must pass the initial drug test
  4. Applicants must be between the age range of 18 – 35 years and 40 years for specialized courses like (medical doctors, Articulated Drivers) etc.
  5. Applicants must meet the height requirements of minimum of 1.65m for males and 1.60m for females.
  6. All candidates must be free from criminal record
  7. Applicants must not have body tattoos
  8. Applicants applying with SSCE must have a minimum of 5 credits including mathematics and English language in not more than 2 sittings in either (WAEC, NECO or NABTEB).
  9. Candidates applying with diploma or NCE are required to have a minimum of 5 credits including mathematics and English language in their SSCE exam and at least lower credits in their OND or NCE certificate
  10. Applicants applying for as a graduate must possess minimum of 5 credits including mathematics and English language in their SSCE and have a minimum of second class lower division for Bsc, and Lower credits for HND holders
  11. Graduate are expected to have their NYSC discharge or exemption certificates at the time of applicants
